BIO
Hi, my name is DeAndre Pullen, and I am a young, multi-talented Writer, Content Creator, Actor, Aspiring Filmmaking Executive, and Singer based in Los Angeles, California. I am currently a student at the University of California, Riverside, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English, with plans to graduate in 2027. From there, I aim to achieve my goal of becoming a skilled and creative Executive Producer and Director, Actor and Writer in the entertainment industry, further developing my brand, and ultimately serving as the CEO of a new streaming platform.
Over time, I have immersed myself in social media, turning my comedic ideas into viral content. I've grown my following to over 950,000 on TikTok and 29,000 on Instagram, creating engaging, high-quality comedy videos. In the process, I've taken on roles as a screenwriter, producer, director, editor, and collaborator, handling everything from funding to negotiations to reach global audiences.
My work has led me to features on BET+ segments, BET Jams, roles in music videos, and participation in fun SAG-AFTRA TV commercials! Throughout the years, I have refined my comedic brand and invested heavily in its growth, both creatively and financially, while developing a strong business acumen.
Now, I'm eager to elevate my craft to the next level, aiming to produce original work that resonates with larger audiences and showcases my hard-earned skills. After years of dedication, hard work, faith, and perseverance, I'm ready for the opportunity to bring my vision to life on bigger platforms.
GRANDMA PULLEN
Grandma Pullen is an alter-ego brought to life by comedian and actor, DeAndre Pullen. This 65-year-old firecracker is inspired by DeAndre's late great-grandmother, Ethel Pullen—a southern, strong-willed, sharp-tongued woman with an impeccable sense of style, humor, and an old, crippled quirk . Ethel had a knack for navigating life with a charm that allowed her to get away with just about anything, and her legacy lives on in this larger-than-life character.
DeAndre uses Grandma Pullen not only as a comedic outlet but also as a spiritual tool to transform pain into laughter. Through her, he conveys powerful messages about life’s absurdities while testifying to the strength and grace found in faith, women empowerment and the power of God as a firm foundation.
Raised by his great-grandmother, great-aunt, and a community of older women in the church, DeAndre drew from his rich upbringing to shape Grandma Pullen’s character. He was also inspired by iconic performers like Tyler Perry, Martin Lawrence, Eddie Murphy, and other social media creators who have brought their own vibrant alter-egos to life.
Grandma Pullen has become the heart and soul of the Comediandre brand, captivating audiences with her bold humor and southern wisdom. She stands as a testament to the resilience and joy found in storytelling, humor, and faith.
